We offer arange of 16 classic, deluxe and superior rooms, all with en suite bathrooms, set under spreadingacacia trees.Enjoy the deluxe room with lake Views, concrete bathrooms, open front canvas tents and a veranda with sitting area overlooking lake. The room is fitted with oversized beds (twin or king) with under bed pullout “trundle beds” for children. The beds are fitted withmosquito nets. We serve a full breakfast, buffet lunches and plate service in the evenings. Island Camp is famous for its cold soups at lunch. Ample homemade bread roles are popular, especially to treat the birds and mongooses who join us for breakfast and lunch! There is a main bar and a large pool bar. The pool bar is popular for afternoon gatherings, and many table games are available. The dartboard is a favorite and horseshoes are a challenge. The pool bar also has a fantastic view of both sides of the Rift Valley including a fantastic “sundowner view.” There is also a high rock formation with a 360-degree view of the lake that is popular for “Sundowner drinks.” Guests can relax byswimming in the pool at the highest point of the camp with picturesque views they can also enjoybird watching,dartboard and a variety of board games available in the Pool Bar.A spa is available during high season weeks and one can enjoy a relaxing massage or manicure/pedicure with a lakefront view of Gibraltar. Our camp is approximately four-hour drive on tarmac road from Nairobi.Access to Island Camp is only by boat, driven by experienced boatmen. Parking and security are provided for the vehicles left on the mainland, while porters are available to assist with transferring luggage to the boats.
